Online lessons – teacher
Adding online lessons to classes gives students the opportunity to study outside of school.
Our latest online lesson module allows you to use them on most browsers as well as mobile devices and does not require the use of Flash Player.
Online classes have many functions that give you the opportunity to:
- share the webcam
- share the audio
- use the chat
- display presentations, attaching text and graphic files,
- use the text, geometric figures, drawings on a virtual board,
- share movies from sources like YouTube, Vimeo, etc.
- share screen with the selected application, browser tab.
Hardware/software requirement
When it comes to the quality of sound or image, the quality of the Internet connection has the main impact. Considering the technologies used in the module, the minimum user requirements are at least 0.5 Mbits/second upstream and 1 Mbits/second downstream. For mobile users, for data network, we recommended 4G LTI for best results or minimum 3G Network to use audio, view presentation content, and receive screen sharing. If more people participate in the session and each uses a camera and microphone, these values should be correspondingly larger. For the presenter (teacher), the highest possible transfer value is recommended, especially when using the screen sharing option. We also recommend the of Firefox, Chrome or Edge browsers (latest versions), because for slower connections they retain better sound quality. For the duration of the lesson, users should disable the additionally running, unused browser tabs or programs/applications whose work in the background can affect the quality of the connection.
The user may have very good experiences with wireless internet, but if others hear that his sound is disturbed or changed, the user can either get closer to the router, try a different wireless network, or (preferably) connect directly to the wired connection. Using public WiFi is not always the best because it may not be sufficient for real-time audio or video.
For audio, we strongly recommend using a headset. A headset will ensure that others can hear your voice clearly and you don’t cause echo or background noise for others.
It is recommended to use devices with at least a dual-core processor and 2 GB RAM and 1Ghz processor. We recommend any operating system capable of running the latest versions of Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.
IE and legacy EDGE browsers are not supported.
For mobile devices, online lessons are available for iOS 12.2 and newer (Safari mobile) and Android 6.0 and newer (Chrome mobile).
