What is the course?
The course is a series of educational classes, usually, it’s the basic offer of language schools. In the system, you can define various types of courses, e.g. a foreign language course, an intensive course, a holiday course, a business course, a medical French language course, etc. The details of the course (language, level, age group, textbook) are then assigned to the group settings.
It is also possible to only use the general phrase „course” or „language course” and not create different types of it.
The course data is included in the reports, which allows you to use them in statistics. Thanks to this, it is possible to indicate which courses are the most popular.
To learn how to define courses in the system, follow our instructions on adding courses.
What is a group?
The group includes one or several, a dozen or so students pursuing the course within the scheduled meetings. A schedule is prepared for the group and lessons are generated for the group.
If you want to learn how to add groups to the LangLion Platform, follow our instructions – for regular or individual groups.
What are classes?
The classes are used in the system in several places. It is required to set up class types (at least one) to be able to generate a schedule in groups. In this sense, we are talking about lessons, lectures organized by the school. As in the case of a course, you can indicate several different types of classes, eg conversations, exercises, online classes, native speaker classes, etc., or keep the generic name „classes” and use it as such.
Detailed information on how to configure the types of classes can be found in our manual.
Use them later when generating classes in groups.
Additionally, there is one more tab named „Classes” in the system, where you define more general information about the learning mode (school opening days, class hours, default lesson length). We have described this part of the system in the basic settings manual.
